Underhill’s recorded envelope controls the cut

Underhill’s Highway Department, based at 77 New Road, reports that its spring 2026 mud restrictions ended April 29 while overweight permits remained required. A heavy clearing-machine delivery therefore needs the route and current permit status checked even after the seasonal posting is lifted. Give the carrier the destination, loaded weight and road approach; do not interpret a historical lifting date as approval for a different load or season.

The Irish Settlement Road decision is a parcel-specific example of an Underhill clearing limit. A gentle patch outside its approved envelope was not made available by the condition allowing work below 15 percent inside the envelope. Before an estimator marks your site, obtain your own recorded decision and exhibit rather than using this other subdivision’s percentage as a Town-wide allowance.

For a hypothetical Underhill envelope, a two-acre parcel might contain only a half-acre approved work area. A clearing request for all two acres would be four times that envelope, even if the vegetation looks alike. The figures illustrate scope arithmetic only.

Mark the actual exhibit on the ground with the appropriate survey or design support, and price access and vegetation inside the authorized limit.

Underhill clearing quantities and the accepted finish

An Underhill clearing-machine delivery needs the route decision separately from the cutting permission. The Highway Department’s April 29, 2026 lifting of seasonal restrictions did not remove overweight-permit requirements. For that clearing delivery, give the transporter the loaded configuration and exact approach before mobilization.

The clearing quote must use the current road authorization; a historical mud-season notice cannot approve its equipment load.

At an Underhill handover, compare the cleared perimeter with the recorded envelope and keep any retained hillside vegetation intact for later trades. Identify the stabilized access and any required planting or drainage repair in the acceptance record. The estimate should state what happens if conditions prevent the approved route from carrying the machine, rather than allowing an unreviewed alternate cut.
