Two libraries, two jobs
The field guides answer questions whose answer is the same every year: what forestry mulching costs in this region, how it differs from conventional clearing, what a permit process involves, how a slope or a wetland changes the method. Those are structural questions and a good answer to one of them is still good three seasons later.
The posts here are the other half. They are about timing, sequence and expectation — the parts of a project that depend on the state of the ground that week, on how equipment reaches the site, on whether there is a date attached, and on what happens in the twelve months after the machine leaves. A landowner who has read the guides knows what the work is. These posts are about when it can happen, what it will and will not include, and what the property will look like a year later.
Both are written for the same reader: someone deciding what to ask for and what to write down, not someone looking for a phone number. This site does not perform clearing work. It publishes planning information and passes a request to an independent contractor, who assesses the property and sets their own method, price, schedule and terms.
